Hello and a warm welcome to all of my fantastic fourth-grade students and their families! My name is Amanda Dent, and I am absolutely thrilled to be your fourth-grade teacher this year. As we embark on this exciting journey of learning and growth together, I want you to know that this classroom is a place of curiosity, collaboration, and creativity.

I graduated from Virginia Wesleyan University with a BA in Psychology and Social Sciences. I hold VBAC endorsement ( W&M) with 6 years of community-based and hospital-specific child and adolescent mental health programs. Each child deserves a caring, inspiring, and engaging atmosphere to grow emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, and socially. Outside of school, I enjoy family time, teaching at Waters Edge Church, and cooking.

In our time together, we'll explore new ideas, tackle interesting challenges, and celebrate each other's successes. I am here to support you every step of the way, whether you're discovering the curiosity of multiplication, diving into captivating stories, exploring the moon phases or traveling through history.

Remember, each one of you brings something unique to our classroom community, and I can't wait to see your personalities shine.
