Learning with FriendsNowhere is our family atmosphere more evident than in our Early Learning Center. Great friendships form quickly as our students learn together. Our teachers become 'second moms' to our little ones as they guide the learning process.
DBCS Early Learning Center
Welcome to Denbigh Baptist Christian School Early Learning Center. It is our aim to respect the family as the primary and most important caregiver in a child's life; therefore, we partner with parents in a child's care and education. We provide experiences that enrich and enhance a child's spiritual, mental, physical and social development. We offer a hands on, active curriculum to children two-and-a-half to four years of age. Full and part time schedules are available as well as Early Care, Afternoon Care, and After School Care.
Our teachers are first and foremost servants of God who seek His guidance and wisdom when working with each child. The curriculum is Bible based, age appropriate, and fun. Teachers provide experiences that are loving, supportive, encouraging, and responsive to each child's individual learning needs. Every day a child is supported in using creative expression, critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills. It is our prayer that we will instill a love of learning and encourage each child's journey toward knowing and serving God. Please call the office (757.249.2654) to set up a tour of our facilities and to meet with Mrs. Holloway.

The DBCS Early Learning Center is located on the main floor of Denbigh Baptist Church. Currently, three spacious classrooms, the school library, the school cafeteria, chapel, and a large multipurpose room complete the facility. A fenced playground with play equipment is located adjacent to the building.
The "Summer Fun" program begins from the end of May to the week before school begins. The themes change each week and include fieldtrips. Water play is offered during the summer months with emphasis on outdoor fun.
The summer program begins the third day after the school year program concludes and ends one week prior to the opening of school in August. The Center is closed July 4th.
Children must be at least two-and-one-half years of age to enter the E3 program. Children must be four years of age as of September 30th of the current year to participate in the E4 program.
DBCS Early Learning Center complies with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to health and sanitation, water supply, building codes, statewide fire prevention code, staff-child ratios, and health and criminal check requirements for staff.
